Outlook error Interrupt E-mail Delivery Error

Many companies and individuals rely on MS Outlook 2007 for their e-mail needs.  While Outlook is one of the most widely used e-mail clients in the world, it is not immune to problems.  Probably the most frustrating problem users experience is the inability to send an e-mail they have just finished writing.  Sometimes the user notices that it takes an extremely long time for the message to send.  Other times they will be presented with an error message like:

Mailbox Not Found

An unknown error has occurred

Unable to deliver e-mail because of a communication failure

 Error Code:  0x800ccc6f

Error Code:  0x800ccc69

Error Code:  0x800ccc61

No Internet connection is the most likely cause of this error.  If the user has verified that they have an active Internet connection and are still unable to send e-mails, they should ensure the antivirus and firewall programs are properly configured to allow Outlook full access to the Internet.  A damaged or corrupt Outlook PST file can also trigger these error messages.  To repair broken PST files, run Scanpst.exe located in:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033

Outlook cannot be open when running this utility.  When Outlook is closed, run Scanpst.exe and browse to the PST file.  Click the Scan button to begin scanning and repairing the Outlook PST file.  In most cases, this will resolve the issue.  On occasion it will be necessary to use an Outlook PST Repair program to resolve the issue.  There programs are developed by third party companies and can resolve a wide range of issues with damaged PST files.
